About Me

My photo
So, most of my OCs are up here because where I rp at doesn't allow me to post them up which is lame. They're all here except for the ones on the site. I have a YouTube channel that's mostly gaming and I don't have a specific theme like most people which is usually Minecraft, CoD, horror, pixel, or simulation games. Me? I just do whatever I feel like playing...and what I can afford. YouTube is the same name if you didn't know.

History

Before her birth, her mother was known as the town's whore in Salem Village. Her mother Agnes would sleep with most of the men and would even go for several rounds. She fell into this state after hearing upon the word of her husband running off with another woman. One night, she was about to fall asleep when she confronted a large mass of black gas. She blinked several times when her husband stood there. It scared her that he would return to her after what she had done. The fear, though, went away and gave herself to him not knowing that it was Agramon in disguise. The next morning, he was gone leaving Agnes in confusion and sorrow. Nine months later, she had given birth to Beth. She loved and cared for her, but couldn't do it on her own, so she remarried to a man named William Thornhill. They raised Beth together and three years later, Teresa came into their world.

When Beth turned five, it was around the time the Salem Witch Trials occurred. As a child, Beth had long hair, so one day when she pulled her hair back, her ears were revealed to those around her. She was put on trial and was proven guilty. Her own parents began to fear her as her own life was about to come to an end with several other people who were accused of being a witch. Teresa would visit her in secret in the night until she was caught. Sadly, Teresa was burned at the stake three days later with some other people for supposedly planning to set free all the witches and was a witch herself. Beth knew her sister died on her hands. She couldn't live with that fact. On her burning day, Beth stared at her mother and told her that she should have kept a better eye on Teresa that night. Unfortunately, Beth didn't burn which scared everyone. Beth feared her own self and ran away with no place in mind.

170 years later, Beth had moved to London not wishing to head back to America any time soon. She still didn't know what she was or why it was happening to her. Without her knowing, a demon was following her. Before it could attack, two boys around fifteen had killed the demon. These two were known as Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs. When they left, Beth followed them wondering what the thing was that they had killed. She had stumbled into the London Institute where she soon got the answers to her questions. Beth was a warlock and her mark was her cat like ears. Her father was not William Thornhill, but Agramon. When she discovered she was immortal, Beth felt alone. The people around her would eventually die while she remained the same. Jem, feeling rather sympathetic for her, comforted her and had a small fling with her. It lasted two years before Beth called it off. Three weeks later, Tessa appeared into their lives. Beth felt that she needed to face her fears, so she headed back for America.

Beth moved back to Salem Village, but made sure no one recognized her from any paintings or such. To make sure no one knew her, she shortened her name to Beth and changed her last name to Quinn. No one suspected her to be the girl who couldn't burn at the stake. Paying her respects, she visited her mother's grave alone with her younger sister's grave. It pained her to even visit them let alone live in the village that accused her of being a witch.

She didn't stay too long. After a month, Beth had moved to New York where she started to make a living off of selling antiques she had kept with her over the past hundred years. As the years went by, Beth would change her appearance such as dying her hair and cutting her hair. Today, she keeps her hair around her shoulders and keeps her natural hair color. Rarely does she visit the Institution in New York, but goes in there to speak with Tessa, so she doesn't really know Clary and the new generation of Shadowhunters.

Personality

As a child, Beth was a happy-go-lucky child without a single care in the world. She was open and friendly towards others. When her younger sister came around, Beth made sure to protect her and play with her while her mother was away at parties with her husband.

After everything that had happened in her life, Beth became distant from most people. She couldn't stand keeping a social life if she was going to just live longer than others. This slowly changed after meeting Will and Jem. Jem had brought out a more happy side to her that she had locked away as a child. The two seemed like a good couple, but the sense of him growing old and fading away came back. Beth can't stand that fact and moves far away from him after Tessa comes into his life.

When she found out about Tessa being immortal like herself, Beth had problems with communicating with her. Slowly, they warmed up to each other and talk often. Only around Tessa does she seem really happy. It's most likely because there's no chance in seeing Tessa growing old and fading away. As they bond closer, Beth feels like Tessa is like her little sister who had died centuries ago. Around others, she's rather quiet even if Tessa is with her. Beth still has the issue of trying to communicate with others despite her fear of getting close to others just to see them grow old and fade away.

Abilities

Beth is immortal and has kept the appearance of her 18 year old self for many years. Like many other warlocks, she has access to magical powers. Her magical powers manifest themselves in either blue flames or violet flames.

Possible Love Interest(s)

Magnus Bane

Simon Lewis

Trivia

  • Beth doesn't know about Jem becoming one of the Silent Brothers.

  • She's never been to Silent City, so she's not aware that Jem is still alive.

  • Beth can put up a fake act of being social, but deep inside she hates talking to others.

  • Only through her conversations with Tessa has she heard of Magnus Bane.

  • Talking about her past is hard on her since she's been through so much.

  • Beth had considered of becoming serious with Jem a long time ago, but backed off of the idea when her true fear first came forward.

  • She wishes to find the perfect guy for her that she's willing to give up immortality for and grow old with, if possible.

  • Beth actually hates her eyes since they remind her of her younger sister who had the same eyes as she did despite both having different fathers.

  • Even though her father was the cause of her immortality, Beth holds a grudge against her mother for not taking better care of Teresa during the trials.

  • When she's not selling antiques that she's kept over the years, she's playing the piano, but doesn't do it when others are around.
