History:

Once she had turned into a toddler, it was obvious that she didn't obtain the vampire hunter gene that ran through her family on her mother's side. Since she didn't have the gene, her mother Karin made sure that she wasn't exposed to vampires and live a normal life. Once the news reached Jinmu, an old school vampire hunter, he blamed it all on Haruka's father. Haruka didn't see much of her grandfather after he had discovered she was just a regular human. She grew up in a normal environment and went to school with people who didn't know of vampires all the way up to junior high. In junior high, she had been in the archery club and voted to be captain for her second year. Kaien had heard of Haruka and decided invite her to attend Cross Academy. Her mother was concerned, but knew that at some point, she couldn't leave her daughter in the dark any longer. As Haruka left, her mother told her that  she would find the truth of her family's origins there. When she had arrived, Kaien had explained her situation and her family's vampire hunter gene. Haruka decided to take the path of a vampire hunter instantly. It was around this time that her father had left her mother and her baby brother Talon.

Trivia:

• Haruka's roommate's name is Rena Takamura.
• Everyone in the Day Class calls her a vampire in a jokingly way because of her skin tone, her hair color, and the fact that her roommate had told everyone in their class that her feet are always cold.
• Haruka has a condition where her feet are always cold no matter what she does. Doctors don't know why this happens, but it's not because of lack of blood to the feet.
• Jinmu discovered of Haruka's attendance to Cross Academy and was enraged about it.
• Haruka and Jinmu have a strange relationship. It's like a love/hate relationship.
• Talon has the vampire hunter gene unlike his older sister.
